As the owner of Clark's Ark Pet Care, Elaine is a graduate of a
Veterinary Technician program, with decades of experience in
animal care. Clark's Ark is a licensed and insured business.
Elaine has worked in veterinary hospitals and is now owner of
Clark Farm with her husband Bill, who is a retired Danvers
High School teacher and is now a full-time farmer. He is also a
Selectman in Danvers and takes great pride in Danvers, his
lifelong residence. Clark Farm has been owned by Bill's family
since 1728.
On the farm, three adopted goats grew into a menagerie of
animals due to Elaine's compassionate nature, love of animals,
and inability to say no to an animal in need. Two sheep, three
goats, two dogs, three cats, a Leopard Gecko, a multitude of
chickens, four ducks, and two horses now find their home on
Clark Farm.
For Elaine, starting Clark's Ark Pet Care felt like a natural
progression in her life. She, along with her 12 year old son,
Hobie, and her daughter, Heather, who does overnight
house/pet sitting and pet visits, will care lovingly for your pets
as though they were their own. Each of them brings a special
compassion, kindness, and understanding to the care of your
"other" family members.
Since we do spend quite a bit of time outside and with the
emergence of Lyme Disease becoming more common, it is
important that your dogs have some form of flea and tick
control. Also, I require a copy of the vaccination record for your
dog to ensure that they are properly protected. I also have an
application form which you can download and bring with you on
your visit or I will provide you with one on your initial visit.
